By end of 2020, Zoox had $1B in funding, and was acquired by Amazon for $1.2B. Forbes gives some of the history behind the company - with founder Kentley Klay leaving as CEO in 2018, with new CEO Aicha Evans brought on board in his place, and with plans to build an assembly factory in California.
